The subwoofer uses a custom 18″ high efficiency woofer with 3″ voice coil, driven by a powerful 1500 W CLASS-D amplifier with high headroom and dynamic control via DSP, for maximum output power without distortion and constant reliability.

The sophisticated preamp section includes advanced processing with a high-performance DSP processor, for linear response and high-definition sound. A user interface with LCD display and single-knob control is available, for quick selection and viewing of processor parameters. These parameters include the selection of crossover frequency, phase and delay, for perfect coupling with the satellite used. The cardioid configuration is also available, which allows the coupling of two DIVASUB18A to double the frontal efficiency of the system and, at the same time, drastically reduce the rear radiation.

DIVASUB18A is housed in a lightweight and ultra-resistant plywood cabinet, with steel protection grille, two ergonomic handles, flange for support pole with M20 connection and 4 professional wheels equipped with braking system supplied as standard, for maximum ease of transport.

The 18” low frequency driver is a high power transducer equipped with a moisture resistant glass fibre reinforced cone. The double centering spider ensures that the 4” voice coil always remains centered in the magnetic gap even under high excursion conditions.

The 15mm phenolic birch plywood cabinet is provided with a 35mm pole mount socket to allow two-way ED series loudspeakers to be mounted above on standard speaker poles. Recessed handles are provided for easy lifting and handing, and the included polyurethane wheels aid transportation, while stacking feet and matching recesses enable secure ground stacks.

SYSTEM PROCESSING

The system processing is based on the CORE DSP platform designed by the PROEL R&D Laboratories using one of the most advanced SHARC DSP for audio application. It features 40bit, 96kHz floating point resolution and top quality 24bit AD/DA converters for perfect signal integrity, dynamic range in excess of 110dB, and superior sonic performance. Thanks to its massive processing power, the CORE platform is capable of providing the most sophisticated algorithms for speaker processing, together with remote control and networking capability. The PRONET control software, working on a solid and reliable CANBUS based network protocol, provides an intuitive interface for the remote control of the whole system, with the possibility of EQing, delaying, managing the protection functions, and monitoring the status of the amplifier.

POWER AMPLIFIER

The SW18A is powered by a DA SERIES digital power module. DA SERIES is a new generation of CLASS D power amplifiers with digitally-controlled SMPS. The innovative technology used for these amplifiers (including also the use of a variable switching frequency) offers top of the range performance, such as superior sound definition at any audio frequency, very high dynamics also for low level signals and very low distortion even at the maximum power. The superior sound quality can be compared with top-of-the-range AB-class analog systems, while the DA modules feature a higher dynamics, very compact size and light weight, and
efficiency above 90%. The DA module employed for powering the SW18A delivers in an ultra-compact package power of 2000W to the LF driver. Such a large reserve of power means that the amplifier can handle very high voltage peaks, resulting in an impressive dynamic performance.

The loudspeaker is designed with a unique motor featuring a high-grade neodymium magnet assembly in a structure optimized for thermal and magnetic efficiency. Its features include a large displacement suspension system which, in conjunction with a composite reinforced, straight ribbed cone and the proprietary Double Silicon Spider (DSS) technology, allows an ultra-linear piston action and provides full mechanical control across the entire working range. The 100mm (4 in) state-of-the-art voice-coil utilizing Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology, provides high levels of thermal stability and durability. The ISV technology achieves a balanced linear motor unit exerting an exceptionally high force factor.

The phenolic birch plywood cabinet is equipped with pole mount socket, stacking feet, flush handles, and heavy duty wheels to enable easy handling and transportation. It will deliver high level and extended low bass performance from a very compact cabinet, and thanks to the integral pole mount socket partners well with any of the ED point source and AXIOM line array loudspeakers in any audio applications, while its small size enables it to be easily fitted into tight venue spaces.

The DA module employed for powering the SW2100A features also PFC (Power Factor Correction), a technology able to guarantee always the highest level of power regardless of any eventual fluctuations of the power supply. It delivers in an ultra-compact package
2000W from each of its two channels: one channel is used to drive the 21” woofer, the other, through an output SPEAKON connector, can power AX12C line array modules or other AXIOM speakers.

THE SYSTEM
The SW2100A has been mainly designed to provide the optimal low frequency extension to the AX12C line array module. The built-in DA power module can provide 2000W to power up to four AX12C line array modules connected to the output SPEAKON. The built-in CORE DSP provides 4 presets for different combinations: 2, 4 or 1 columns plus 1 user preset (additional presets for processing other AXIOM speakers are also available).

The SW2100A features on the top panel a special metal plate and it comes with a dedicated aluminium bracket for fast coupling with the AX12C’s rigging hardware. Using this simple system, up to two AX12C modules can be easily installed on an SW2100A.
The standard system, composed of four AX12C line array modules and two SW2100A subwoofers, features 8000W of total power and a line-array dispersion pattern, making it the perfect solution for high-performance portable sound reinforcement applications.

The Fuison10S features a variable crossover and 35Hz subsonic filter. Due to the high S / N ratio audio signals are of a very high-quality. This active and powerful subwoofer is perfect for use in any studio, rooms or places where a transparent sound is required.
